STEPS FOR WRITING

For starters, when I began to write Informal Writing 9 I knew my audience was my professor. The first step I needed to do was evaluate my audience and assess accordingly. Therefore I knew it was necessary to use proper grammar, punctuation, and of course spelling! I made sure each point I wanted to get across was explained thoroughly with detail. On the other hand, when I write for myself, specifically in regards to my keepsake journal, none of those things matter to me. I do not need to assess my audience because this journal is only for my keepsake. Of course, I use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation, but if something is missing a comma, for example, I don't sweat it or care to reread it before finalizing.
