I was able to relate to Mellix in her writing, because she speaks about writing a formal essay about herself and she is concerned whether or not she is using "appropriate" lingo. I can relate to this article extensively due to the fact that I am writng an academic paper about myself as-well. Sometimes I get concerned with the proper writing for my audiences and to read about her stuation made things easier for me. Mellix also extends on the topic of language. After reading this article I had a different understanding of language, which helped me to formulate writings in a better conveyed style.
