Mike Rose, “Rigid Rules, Inflexible Plans, and the Stifling of Language,”

Language Diversity and Academic Writing pp. 253-266

This source seemed to be the most useful because of the way Rose conveyed his message. He made it somewhat interactive so that we can understand the point he is making according to our own style of writing. Rose gives us different scenarios of children struggling with writing, then he gives them each constructive tools as to how they can fix their writing problems. I can easily relate to Ruth due to her misunderstood concept of audience. Although I know how to properly assess my audience, I still struggle with what is best for them as well as getting my point across. Rose's information on this helped me realize my mistakes as well as help me find somewhat of a solution.
